NovoGen Engineering Solutions is currently recruiting for an H.V Authorised Person to provide engineering safety services in support of new and existing operational contracts. This will include exercising and advising electrical safety practices in accordance with the NovoGen Electrical Safety Rules to enable safe delivery of the business-critical services.
Here's a look at what you'll be responsible for:
- Advise and undertake plant shutdowns and isolations
- Ensure baseline configuration related to safety
- Provide supervision of competent persons undertaking electrical safety work
- Apply technical knowledge for HV & LV systems and structures
- Interpret and deliver contractual obligations which may include troubleshooting, quoting, reporting, commissioning and handover duties
- Identify and escalate business risks where applicable to client stakeholder
- Make evidence-based engineering decisions to solve technical problems
Experience in some of the following is considered advantageous:
- A recognised electrical trade or equivalent engineering qualification (ONC/OND/HNC/Level 4)
- S5 Safe Operation of High Voltage Power Systems
- Knowledge of Health & Safety statutory legislation and requirements
- Proven ability to deliver across industrial/manufacturing HV & LV infrastructure, plant and equipment
- Experience delivering FM engineering and maintenance services across the life of HV assets

Important things you need to know:
- You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary Access NI security clearance for the role. This will be funded by NovoGen.
- To provide reactive out of hours support on an HV call-out rota basis (1 week in 4 rotation)
